We are so thankful to have found this church family. My husband and I have attended here for 5 years. He made sure to get a new job close enough so that we could keep attending Faith.
It is large enough with plenty of choices of activities for all ages that it is easy to get to know people and make friends. Yet it is small enough not to feel lost but to feel like family. It is very God-centered with an emphasis on Him and His Word. All of the pastors give great sermons and are very caring personally, always visitting those sick or in the hospital, sending cards, asking about you Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, praying with you.
It also emphasizes outreach to the needy and the not-yet-believers both in our own area and around the world with lots of ministry and missions opportunities. The children's and teens' programs are wonderful as well, with Bible study and memorization, and opportunities for even the youngest kids to serve others. We are very blessed by this church!Added February 26, 2017 by Katherine Witherell - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
When I first moved to Brooksville I didn't know a single person. My first Sunday here I attended Faith EPC and was so welcomed I was in awe. Every Sunday there are greeters in the Foyer and ushers at each door welcoming you to shake your hand or give you a hug because there are three different ways that you can enter the sanctuary. I was met with smiles and such warmth that I felt like I had gone home!
The services always include a time to welcome those around you and give you a chance to meet those newcomers that are near you. They have children's activity books for those families that want their children to remain in the service but they also have outstanding nursery, preschool and children's church programs.
The Pastors are loving, knowledgeable, incredible speakers that deliver such depth and in a way that reaches everyone. Their passionate love of the Lord is seen in the messages that are always theologically sound and intent on helping each and every person in their walk with the Lord.
I love that they have a Women of Faith group, a Men's Bible Study, Bible studies for everyone on Wednesdays, an incredible youth program with a youth pastor, his wife and leaders that love the Lord and have a burning desire to reach middle and high school students, missions programs, homeless outreach, seniors programs and so much more.
I'm so thankful for this church and its staff and members! I definitely encourage people to check it out!Added January 14, 2017 by Kristi Prada - ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
Sunday morning service is at 10:30 am, I would have appreciated parking attendants/ directions, there were none and the "back" parking mentioned on the site is the main parking.
The front doors were locked and I had to be directed to other doors. I was not greeted. There was not the traditional awkward greeting time churches are so well known for. I found seating and the girl next to me stared at me blankly when I greeted her.
There was a full band: piano, guitar, base, drums, & a violinist along with a praise team.
Modern praise songs with words on a projector screen as well as an organist and hymnals for a hymn & creed.
The sermon was from Luke & the text was projected on the screen.
There was no sense of the church year or liturgy.
Communion was done from the gospels with unleavened bread & grape juice. Served by the elders to the congregation in the pews.
There was a blessing and the congregation was dismissed. I stopped by the table under the "Greetings" sign and said hello to the man behind the booth. He did not acknowledge me.
I left without a single person speaking to me.
If however you want a church to hide in, to feel like you went to church as "good Christians" do, I recommend this one. There is a divers congregation, the music is nice, and the sermon was not bad.Added December 24, 2016 by Bennett Victoria - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Feels like Family
We've been here 5 years and made many friends. The missions trips, game nights, VBS, and more are exciting and Jesus focused.Added October 17, 2016 by Sean Sanborn - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This church is one that will make you feel like family. As soon as I walked in the doors, there were people there to greet me; and as I sat down, several people came over for introductions, and to chat for a while.
The pastor even goes around during the welcoming organ music, and even before that, to talk to people, whether new or regular attendees, and prays for them on the spot if they need or want it.
The pastor is energetic and engaging, but at the same time, he's serious, and values the importance of the scriptures and the message of the sermon more than the timing of a joke. If you're looking for a pastor that values God's Word the most, and is also engaging enough to keep you listening to what he has to say, and rather clever and funny as well, then do drop by!
The Youth Group is also great, being led by a hilarious and friendly youth pastor, his wife, and a team of good and helpful leaders. They do fun games, improv, and theme nights, coupled with worship sessions, and the sermon message. I highly recommended this youth group.
And lastly they have youth and adult level mission retreats and mission trips; which in my personal experience have been great fun, and fantastic learning experiences.Added September 13, 2016 by Jabe E.
